‘You Only Live Once’
Media Release: April 16, 2015
* New Offer * Save $1000 Per Couple and Receive Free Meals on Whale Swimming Holidays in Tonga Book by May 30, 2015
Swimming with whales nurturing newborn calves and listening to haunting whale song in the warm, tropical waters of Tonga is now $500 per person cheaper, with free meals also included, as part of a new package offer from Majestic Whale Encounters.
Available until May 30, 2015, the discount is available on two seven-night packages on August 6 and September 1, 2015, for nature lovers travelling as a couple or also as solo travellers.
Australian-based eco operator, Majestic Whale Encounters, runs unique whale-swimming holidays in Tonga from July to September every year, with guests staying in beachside bungalows on the idyllic coral island of Foa in Tonga’s Ha’apai group of islands, 40 minutes north by air from the capital, Nuku’alofa.
The personalised nature tours allow snorkellers to swim with the majestic mammals, which measure up to 19m long, while maintaining safe, non-invasive guidelines set by the Responsible Whale Watching code in Tonga.
The new package offer includes seven nights’ accommodation on Ha’apai island, all main meals, swimming with whales over five days, two days at leisure, snorkelling equipment, all transfers, and return flights from Nuku’alofa to Ha’apai.
Available for two tours – ‘Arising of the Humpbacks’ on August 6, 2015, and ‘Ocean Souls’ on September 1, 2015 – the package is now available from only $3345 per person, twin-share, or $4000 for solo travellers, representing a $500 saving for both deals, with all main meals now also included.
Flights to Tonga from Australia (five hours direct) with Virgin Australia or from New Zealand with Air New Zealand and Virgin are extra.
The special will be on offer until May 30, 2015 and is subject to availability.
“The tropical lagoons of Tonga are the most beautiful locations imaginable to swim with the gentle and graceful humpbacks,” said Majestic Whale Encounter Managing Director, Carmen Ellis. “Most of our guests emerge from the water with a warm glow on their faces. It can be a very moving experience and one to cherish forever,” Carmen said.
