Can I do this trip at any other time of the year?List Item 1
Answer: No, the minkes only stay for about 6 weeks of the year, so it is a very short period and a unique experience that only happens in this corner of the world.

What is not included as part of the package price?List Item 2
Answer: You will need to make your own way to Cairns. Snacks and drinks will be at your own cost (with the exception of drinks with your dinner when on the boat)

How many people will be on this trip?List Item 3
Answer: Majestic Whale Encounters will have approx 10 guests and 1 guide. Once we finish the land portion of this trip, we will be joining another group on the boat that also has 10 guests.

How does the dwarf minke swim work?List Item 4
Answer: These encounters are ‘a voluntary approach’ basis by the Minke Whale, guests enter the water and hold onto a rope off the boat, and the minkes will approach at their own leisure. Spirit of Freedom crew brief all guests on strict guidelines from GBRMPA on how to behave during an encounter to ensure the safety and protection of the Minke Whales.
