Swim With Humpback Whales in Tonga 20–28 July 2026
An intimate, small-group whale encounter adventure in Tonga’s warm, clear waters during peak humpback season. Hosted by Majestic Whale Encounters’ expert team with over a decade of experience in Tonga.
Only 4 of 8 guest places left on this small group departure. Tonga has very limited in water humpback interaction licences and our boat is fully chartered, so once these places are gone, there are no extra spots on this trip.

Why This Tonga Whale Encounter Is So Special?
Majestic Whale Encounters has been hosting ethical whale encounter adventures in Tonga for many years. We work with trusted local skippers and guides, keep our groups small, and follow strict guidelines to make sure every encounter is safe, respectful and unforgettable.
July is the heart of Tonga’s humpback season. Water temperatures are warm, visibility is usually excellent, and the chances of spending unhurried time in the water with these gentle giants are at their best.
You’ll be based in comfortable accommodation close to the water, head out on the boat most days (weather dependent), and be looked after by a friendly, experienced crew that knows these whales and these islands well.
This is not a rushed, mass-market trip. It’s a relaxed, immersive week focused on quality time with the whales, good company, and the magic of Tonga.

Where You’ll Stay & Swim
You’ll stay in comfortable beachfront bungalows at our trusted Tonga resort, in double or twin‑share rooms. All bungalows have ensuites and a lovely big balcony to relax on. We only use this one resort for our Tonga departures, and single supplements are usually available on request if you prefer your own room.

We also work with one dedicated local operator and boat for the week. The boat has plenty of shade and is purpose‑built to be quiet around the whales, and to make it easy for you to get in and out of the water. Your whaleswim days start right on the beachfront in front of our bungalows, so there’s no driving or daily transfers – you simply wander down at departure time. We only take a maximum of 8 guests on the boat each day to keep things relaxed and respectful for you and the whales.
